The Stockholm Stress Center Interdisciplinary Graduate School on Work, Stress, Health and Performance started in 2012 and is hosted by Stockholm Stress Center (SSC) with the FAS centers of excellence The Body at Work – from Problem to Potential at the Centre for Musculoskeletal Research (CBF), University of Gävle and Centre for Health Equity Studies (CHESS) at Stockholm University/Karolinska Institutet acting as partners.
The PhD program on work, stress, health and performance gives the participating PhD students state-of-the-art conceptual and methodological skills necessary to develop their own research and communicate their findings to colleagues and key stakeholders. The PhD program is a comprehensive, interdisciplinary and dynamic initiative and draws on the expertise offered by several leading research groups within SSC, CBF and CHESS.
In this stimulating teaching-learning environment, PhD students get the possibility to meet and learn from leading researchers in a wide range of disciplines including epidemiology, physiology/endocrinology, psychology, occupational health, public health, ergonomics, and sociology.
The program comprises different activities such as a variety of courses on advanced level, workshops, a journal club and internal seminar series.
