IDEAR Early Career Training Program

The IDEAR Early Career Training Program is an informal training network for PhD students and early career researchers affiliated with the IDEAR network. The program is aimed at facilitating networking, training and collaboration between early career researchers within the IDEAR institutions. It began in spring 2018 and will run until at least 2021. The program includes one week of training biannually in host institutions within the IDEAR network. The program for each semester is planned by the host institution and will focus on their key competences. A tentative schedule and topics are outlined in the figure below.

Selection and costs

Each home institution within the IDEAR network will select 2-3 early career researchers (e.g. PhD students and Postdocs) who they think will benefit from a specific training week. It will not necessarily be the same people who attend the training program each time. Travel and accommodation is covered by the home institution, unless the host institution has funds available to cover these costs.  A participation certificate will be issued by the end of each training week.
